Preethi L Raghupatruni

Instructor of Pediatrics (Advanced General Pediatrics and Primary Care)

I am general pediatrician who has a deep focus in preventative medicine, specifically in obesity and mental health. I strive to create a strong medical home and advocate for all my patients.

Jami L Josefson

Associate Professor of Pediatrics (Endocrinology)

I am a physician scientist with a research interest in the developmental origins of obesity. I study metabolism in pregnancy and the near and long-term metabolic outcomes in children. My long-term goal is to facilitate early intervention to prevent obesity and type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Susan M Slattery

Assistant Professor of Pediatrics (Neonatology)

Susan Slattery , M.D., MS is an attending physician in the division of Neonatology and Center for Autonomic Medicine in Pediatrics (CAMP). Her long-term goal is to define the development of respiratory and autonomic control in premature and term infants; identify maturational milestones of physiologic stability in infants to optimize opportunity for growth and neurodevelopment; and provide ongoing clinical care for high-risk children with related deficits to optimize well-being, neurocognitive outcomes, and quality of life for each patient and their family.

Rudy J Allen

Assistant Professor of Pediatrics (Hematology, Oncology, and Stem Cell Transplantation)

My clinical interest is the treatment of childhood cancer, particularly tumors affecting the central nervous system. I also have particular interest in brain tumor survivorship, including the diagnosis and treatment of long term effects of therapy for childhood central nervous system tumors.  I have a strong interest in quality and safety improvement as Medical Director of the 17th Floor Inpatient Unit as well as the Ambulatory Infusion Center.

Rebecca Ruhana Burns

Assistant Professor of Pediatrics (Emergency Medicine)

My clinical interest is in Urgent Care/Pediatric Emergency Medicine. I am also involved in quality and process improvement as well as urgent care research.

Laura C Torchen

Assistant Professor of Pediatrics (Endocrinology)

I am a clinical pediatric endocrinologist and physician-scientist engaged in clinical research focused on reproductive and metabolic disorders in children. I also have a strong interest in medical education and teaching medical studies, residents, and fellows. 

Lacey L Kruse

Assistant Professor of Pediatrics (Dermatology) and Dermatology

I practice general pediatric dermatology with special interests in pediatric skin cancer, pigmented lesions in children, and atopic dermatitis.  My other clinical interests include pediatric melanoma, other forms of pediatric skin cancer, birthmarks, and inflammatory skin disorders.

Uchenna C Ewulonu

Instructor of Pediatrics (Hospital-Based Medicine)

Uchenna Ewulonu is a pediatrician in the department of Pediatrics, Hospital-Based Medicine. She works at both Lurie Children's Hospital, Prentice Women's Hospital and Central Dupage Hospital. She enjoys caring for children of all ages, from neonates to adolescents.

Barry K Wershil

Professor of Pediatrics (Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition)

I completed my fellowship at the Combined Program in Pediatric Gastroenterology at Harvard Medical School. I then join the faculty at Children's Hospital Boston and Harvard Medical School and continued a research fellowship in the laboratory of Dr. Stephen Galli at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. In 2000, I joined the faculty at the SUNY Downstate as the Vice-Chairman of Research and Education, and then in 2003 became the Division Director for Pediatric GI at the Children's Hospital at Montefiore and Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
